While at FCBX, I was the Senior Art Director on our AOR team where I developed and produced an array of creative assets that were activated in various CenturyLink local markets. Through the Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis markets I worked to raise CenturyLink’s brand awareness by leveraging creative assets in broadcast radio/TV, buzz marketing, athlete endorsements, digital, in-venue activation, OOH, print, promotional events, in-game features, and social.

NFL In-Market Sponsorship


At FCBX, our team led the creative and strategic aspects of CenturyLink sponsorships for more than 10 professional sports teams. Our responsibilities included athlete endorsements, in-market amplification, in-venue branding, and activation programs within and beyond the walls of team venues. As the Senior Art Director on the CenturyLink account, I developed and produced various creative assets that were activated across multiple CenturyLink local markets, such as Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis. The objective was to raise CenturyLink’s brand awareness and product messaging through different media channels, generate buzz-worthy activations, and connect with consumers via social media. The “Home Team. Home Connection.” platform aimed to strengthen partnership identification messaging with team properties where CenturyLink brand or product messaging was not applicable.

NFL Boostbox


The CenturyLink Boostbox campaign in 2018 was a promotion in Seattle, Denver, and Minneapolis geared towards NFL fans. The campaign featured athlete endorsements from Doug Baldwin, Emmanuel Sanders, and Stefon Diggs. Prizes included a custom-designed Boostbox filled with handpicked items by the athletes, including game tickets, an iPad, team gear, and gameday experiences. Fans could enter by filling out an online form on a landing page found on their team’s NFL website. CenturyLink promoted the campaign on social media and through PR in local markets to attract and retain customers.

MLB, NBA, and MLS In-Venue


FCBX collaborated with CenturyLink to develop dynamic in-venue digital animation signage across a spectrum of premier NFL, MLB, NBA, and MLS markets. The primary aim was to inform fans that CenturyLink, renowned for its fast and reliable internet and tech services, serves as the trusted technology provider for their beloved sports team. This initiative sought to enhance brand consideration and favorability during the customer journey toward purchasing high-speed internet services.

NBA Hearts & Hoops


At FCBX, we partnered with CenturyLink in collaboration with the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers to foster philanthropic connections and generate leads for local sales teams during the holiday season. The initiative, known as CenturyLink Hearts & Hoops, unfolded as a comprehensive 360-degree buzz marketing campaign. In conjunction with basketball players George Hill of the Utah Jazz and Evan Turner of the Portland Trail Blazers, this campaign harnessed the power of social, PR, and experiential marketing to unite Salt Lake City in a charitable endeavor, involving the donation of essential items for those in need. Moreover, the campaign presented fans of the Jazz and Trail Blazers with an exclusive opportunity to participate in a sweepstakes for a coveted VIP ticket package, graciously provided by CenturyLink.
