Chicago White Sox

Since their establishment in 1901, the Chicago White Sox have been an integral part of the city’s sports culture, emerging as a prominent force in Major League Baseball. Their history boasts remarkable achievements, including multiple American League pennants and the historic 2005 World Series triumph, which has solidified their legacy and cultivated a dedicated fan following. As a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, I had the honor of collaborating with the White Sox on compelling projects. These initiatives involved crafting captivating and memorable illustrations that resonated with the devoted fan base, serving as engaging giveaways during game days and contest rewards. These creative endeavors not only reflected the team’s ongoing commitment to its supporters but also highlighted the White Sox’s enduring impact within the realm of sports and entertainment.

T-Shirt Giveaway

As a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, I was hired by the Chicago White Sox in 2016 to design a series of t-shirts for their game day giveaways throughout the season. This was following a successful 2015 project where I collaborated with the team to illustrate a design for t-shirts and posters celebrating the 10th anniversary of their World Series win. For the 2016 project, my task was to create custom illustrations featuring the team’s current star players, which fans would eagerly collect as a free giveaway item. The promotion was widely advertised on the Chicago White Sox website and social media platforms to encourage fans to attend games and collect all of the shirts.

World Series Anniversary Giveaway

The 2005 Chicago White Sox had a remarkable season, winning the American League Central with a record of 99-63 and clinching their first World Series title in 88 years. The team was led by manager Ozzie Guillén and featured a dominant pitching staff, anchored by starters Mark Buehrle, Jose Contreras, and Freddy Garcia, and closer Bobby Jenks. The offense was powered by Paul Konerko, Jermaine Dye, and A.J. Pierzynski.

In 2015, I was hired as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer to create a unique illustration of the team for the 10th anniversary celebration. The giveaway consisted of a free t-shirt giveaway, commemorating the team’s historic achievement. The White Sox also had posters printed and signed by the entire team to further highlight the uniqueness of the event.
